We believe that Penn State can champion climate solutions, mend educational inequities, ensure student safety, and create transparent and inclusive governing structures. With the help of Penn State stakeholders — including students, alumni, staff, faculty and community members — we're creating bold plans to realize this vision.

Priorities

Climate

Institute socially responsible investing guidelines and leverage institutional resources to invest in clean energy and create jobs throughout PA.

Equity

Increase the recruitment and retention of students from diverse backgrounds and increase resources to enable these students' success.

Safety

Alter institutional policy to ensure all students remain safe on campus. Confront issues like sexual violence, hazing, and acts of hate.

Transparency

Include students, young alumni, and other historically excluded groups and in policy creation and promote participatory institutional decision-making.

We're creating our platform by reviewing existing research about Penn State's and national practices and having extensive conversations with students, staff, faculty, and alumni. In alignment with our desire to move Penn State forward, we welcome suggestions on existing components of our platform at team@psuforward.org. In alignment with our fourth pillar — transparent governance — we will track platform modifications on each component of our platform.
